Children of wealthy families show the tip of the iceberg of problems in a number of behavior patterns. Newsweek (1985) described the high level of drug use and drug dealing by children of wealth in a high school in Arizona. A number of studies suggest a powerful relationship between social class and drug use with at least as much an epidemic of drug use among the top one percent of the society as among the poor (Walker, 1982; Wellisch, 1984).
